20 ways to Identify with the Ahlus Sunnah Wa'l Jama'ah

20 ways to Identify with the Ahlus Sunnah Wa'l Jama'ah
by Imam Ahmad Rida al-Qadri Rahmatullah Alayhi
1. Sayyid Ahmed Aligarhi and all his
followers are disbelievers.
2. Rawafiz, extreme Shia who say that the Holy Quran we have now is incomplete, or that Imam Ali, or any other non Prophet is superior to the Prophets is a disbeliever and apostate.
3. The tabarrai rawafiz, who curse the Companions*, are disbelievers by consensus of the masters of sacred law, and in the matter of his/her being astray, an innovator, and destined for hellfire, there is undoubtedly consensus.
4. Whoever considers Mawla Ali superior to the Shaykhayn in terms of closeness to Allah, qurb e ilahi, he is astray and opposes the sunnah.
5. In the incidents of Jamal and Siffeen, indeed, Imam Ali had the correct Ijtihad, and the companions who opposed him did so only on the basis of ijtihad also, for which reason, some have deemed it proper to curse and abuse them. Anyone who is seen to utter any word resembling insult to them is immediately declared to be outside of the folds of the Ahlus Sunnah. Whoever utters a word of insult to one of the companions of our Prophet, know that he is evil, a transgressor, if he keeps enmity towards any of the companions, then he is most certainly a raafizi.
6. Nobody has reached the level in jurisprudence known as mutlaq ijtihad since the era of Imam Ahmed. All who are not mujtahids, then taqlid is incumbent upon them. Non-conformists to a law school are severely misguided and anti-religious.
7. The ahlus sunnah have always been in four groups for centuries, whoever is outside these is an innovator bound for the hellfire.
8. Both the first teacher of the Wahhabi-Najdis, Ibn Abdul Wahhab, and their second teacher, Ismail Dehlvi, the author of Taqwiyatul Iman, are both severely misguided.
9. The writings of Ismail Dehlvi, Taqwiyatul Iman, Sirat I Mustaqim, Risala Ek Rozi and Tanwir ul Aynayn are filled with blasphemies and deviance.
10. One hundred matters of Maulvi Ishaq Dehlvi are wrong, incorrect, and on many occasions, opposite to the consensus of the people of the prophet‟s sunnah.
11. To call upon the Prophets and Awliya at times of need and duress, through tawassul or istimdad, saying, "Ya Rasulullah", "Ya Ali", or "Ya Shaykh Abdul Qadir Jilani", considering them to be a means for the distribution of divine blessings, (as per the hadith in Bukhari‟s Sahih, "Indeed I am but the
distributor and Allah is the One Who bestows.") is indeed the truth, as well as permissible.
12. By the power of Allah, the ability of Prophets and Awliya to function in the way of justice and Islam continues throughout their physical lives on this earth as well as after their passing, and their power to do so will remain by the will of Allah, a miracle until the Day of Rising.
13. The world of the dead, observe those who are living, they listen to their speech and understand it, the listening of the people who have passed on is true, therefore the state of the Awliya is more exalted and elevated.
14. Allah the Magnificent has informed his Beloved about events that have occurred and will occur until the Day of Rising, up until the last atom, the knowledge of the Holy Prophet encompasses all of these matters.
15. The idea of Allah the Pure having the ability to lie, as written in the book „Ek Rozi‟ by Ismaeil Dehlvi and as Gangohi had written in „Baraheen e Qatiah‟, is complete heresy and misguidance. This matter is completely different from the theological concept of khalf e wa‟eed, i.e. not doing according to what He promised.
16. Considering Satan to have more knowledge than the Holy Prophet, as mentioned by Rashid Gangohi in „Baraheen e Qati‟ah‟, is absolute heresy and misguidance, and this amounts to disbelief according to the scholars of all four schools (see ash Shifa by Qadi Iyad).
17. The blessed gathering of milad and to stand in respect during these gatherings as has been done for centuries in the Holy Sanctuaries is permissible.
18. Celebrating the giarvi sharif, making Fatiha for those who have passed on, and celebrating the Urs of the Awliya are all permissible and recommended actions, free from any blameworthiness.
19. Shariat and Tariqat are not two equally permissible roads, they are intertwined, and thus one who attempts to ascend to the Divine Presence without Sharia will find it impossible, how could he reach any spiritual level while his mind is empty of the sacred laws of the Sharia? Nobody can ever be exempt from the sacred laws. Fake spiritualist consider their greatness in being „free from the need‟ to follow Sharia: they are all astray and servants of the Shaytan. The idea of wahadtul wujud is the truth. And the hulul and ttihad, (meaning indwelling and living „inside‟ the divine [somehow?]) which is claimed by some self-made pseudo-Sufis is straight kufr.
20. Nadwa is by far the leader of aberrance and the accumulation of misguidance, unity and meeting with people who are astray is disbelief. Respecting them necessitates Divine Wrath. Associating with them invites towards the curse of Allah. Appointing them as the pillar of religious organisations is synonymous with destroying Islam. The lectures of Nadwa are filled with concepts which anger Allah and His Rasul. May
Allah save us from the danger of astray groups and keep us steadfast on the pure Sunnah. "And whomsoever withdraws from the pact, does so only to the detriment of his own self, and whomsoever turns back on his heels, has not harmed Allah in the slightest, and whomsoever turns away, Allah is Rich beyond need and praiseworthy, and all praise be to Allah, Lord of All the Worlds."
